Meet the INFiNAUTS

Nexus Q:

I’m forcing myself to get used to this blogging thing. I like reading blogs, not writing them. But desperate times call for desperate measures and this is just that! Until I am able to locate the exact whereabouts of Dot and Hex, my two fellow infinauts, I will not be able to release any information on their identities. Until then, I will be the first of the infinauts to introduce myself.

I am called Nexus but will be referred to as Nex in writing from here on in. I settled for this code name because it described my role adequately. My role as an Infinaut to make sure that all our other Infinauts are connected with one another wherever they are on the globe. In addition to that, I am responsible for connecting them with certain people in uncertain places at certain times. I hope this clarifies.

Hmm, what else should I reveal? I have sweet tooth. I love chocolate. Red Bull gives me wings. I like to chase away my enemies with cloves of garlic and Kung-Fu chop lettuce for my salad…etc. That, however, is all unimportant because above all, I am an entrepreneur. Although I don’t have much to show for it yet, I have finally made the decision to let go of what I thought I liked and follow what I’ve always known I’m good at. Of course, these things happen in life. You think that you have it all figured out and that you’re path is set and its full steam ahead…and then you hit the iceberg. Wow, how grateful I am that I hit that iceberg and plummeted to the freedom of the bottomless cool sea. I’ve been exploring ever since and it has been extremely refreshing.

I’m a third year ex-Biochemistry major at McGill University in beautiful Montreal. I have left the study of biochemistry after a series of occurrences that opened up my eyes to the prospects in that field and where my life was heading if I didn’t change course. Not that the prospects are undesirable in this field, it was that they would clash with my personality and I am relieved to have learned that first hand. After this, i knew what I had to do and the rest is history. From here on in my field of study will focus on the dynamics of small business and enterprise, their management, and growth strategies. I will be working towards a BCom in the next two years and a bit. This, I’ve realized, will come in very handy when operating our first project, Oh Loco Resto.

I believe I mentioned Oh Loco Retso earlier on. Let me check…yup! Oh Loco Resto is a new web application that is being developed by my wonderful team that aims to transform the way we eat out and how we share our thoughts and ideas about places. Of course since we are in the development phase we are in super-stealth mode and the details of the idea are kept safe within a locked chest. Just kidding, we’re too creative to worry about our idea getting taken because we know that no one has the passion and energy to handle it except us. Saying that, you’ll be able to track our idea and the Infinaut team from here on in to see where things end up going. We hope to give you a unique insight into what goes into assembling a start up, financing it, dealing with failure, and success. Now, I don’t like to boast but be we are very confident that the service that’ll be provided by Oh Loco Resto will create a unique experience for Internet users and restaurant goers unlike any other. We’re all excited about getting things off the ground but we’ve encountered a few obstacles already. I guess this is the way its gotta be. Nothing is certain except that what we’re facing now is nothing compared to whats coming.
